Character Extension & Renovation
The client brief was to create a new extension that would provide a large family kitchen and a new master en-suite bedroom.
The existing property was a previously extended Victorian detached house, that was slightly unusual in that it was built into the bank of a hill.
The new extension was designed as a retaining wall built into the gbank. A large letterbox window was installed at a high level to provide light and views through to the rear garden from the kitchen. There was also an exposed brick wall and character and warmth to the new contemporary kitchen. The corner of the extension was fully glazed with bi-fold doors opening out onto the new terrace.
The fantastic end result was a warm and inviting family home that was full of character with contemporary twists.
